40 year old Michael Davis, was arrested after being linked to a number of offences in Epsom and Dorking.
He already had a Criminal Behaviour Order which prohibited him from entering any shop which sells goods without a means to pay.
Surrey Police says it hopes the sentence reassures the community that shoplifting won’t be tolerated.
