A woman says she was refused access to West Middlesex Hospital when she took her baby for treatment, because she had a guide dog.

Historian and activist Dr Amy Kavanagh, who is blind, says a security guard kept shouting ‘no dogs’ at her.

Luckily, other members of the public supported her and repeated that Ava was a guide dog and allowed in a hospital.

The NHS trust says it is “taking this incident seriously”.
