Yusuf Shah from Ilford was 16 years old when he was stopped at Heathrow in January 2024.

Detectives found he had been active on social media and expressed his support for the activities of terrorist groups.

Investigations also revealed he was also issuing advice to people on how to use untraceable cryptocurrency to make donations to Al Qaida.

Now 18, he’s been sentenced to four years and two months in jail and is subject to a 10-year notification order.
