It happened on Tuesday evening at around 8pm, where the victim was taken to hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries to his leg.
The suspect of the attack fled the scene, with a second suspect punching the already wounded victim.
The pair are described as teenage boys between 13-15 years of age. One of them was wearing a balaclava, the other described as white.
Police are urging anyone with information to contact them on 101.
