A student has set his sights on become a doctor after staff at Hammersmith hospital saved his life.

Atul Rao, a US citizen, was studying in London when he suffered a pulmonary embolism resulting in six heart attacks within a few hours.

He was rushed to Hammersmith Hospital’s heart attack centre where scans confirmed there were blood clots in his lungs.

Atul says, “I want to use my second chance at life by helping others.”
