A special football match has been held in memory of a police sergeant who was murdered in Croydon.

Met officers and community members met at Crystal Palace’s training ground for Matt Ratana’s annual memorial game.

He was shot dead inside Croydon Police Station’s custody suite in September 2020.

Players included representatives from grassroots organisations such as Project 4 Youth Empowerment and Mentivity.
