This year marks 20 years since the 22-year-old visiting French student was murdered by Levi Bellfield as she walked home.
She was found on Twickenham Green on the evening of the 19th of August with serious head injuries and died in hospital the same night.
Within 24 hours, the police established she might have been killed by the same person who had murdered Marsha McDonnell.
The 19-year-old student from nearby Hampton had been killed outside her home in a similar manner 18 months earlier.
Levi Bellfield is serving life in prison for multiple murders.
This afternoon’s memorial will last for an hour, with speeches, the laying of flowers and a choral performance.
