A project that uses satellites and volunteers to protect wildlife is being shown off by the UK Government at the COP30 climate conference.

Space4Nature, run by the University of Surrey and Surrey Wildlife Trust, uses new technology to map important habitats like grasslands.

It’s one of only 19 UK projects chosen to be displayed at the conference in Brazil, highlighting Surrey’s role in nature recovery.

The Wildlife Trust says it’s a great example of how people and modern technology can work together to protect the environment.
