Viera Gray worked as a missionary in Rwanda and as Deacon of St Mary’s Church in Barnes.
She was killed in September 1989, and her memory was honoured three years later with the opening of Viera Gray House care home.
The new portrait at the home has been painted by Richmond resident, Rachel Parker, and is displayed in the main hall.
