The fictional TV and film character played by Sacha Baron Cohen was part of a group called the “West Staines Massiv”.
Residents launched the petition in light of the fictional character’s upcoming new film.
A Spelthourne Borough Council spokesperson said after debating the proposal, councillors decided not to support it at this time.
They said there was a “need to focus on other priorities”.
