A panel of female domestic violence survivors are working with Croydon Council to help address the crime.

13 have so far started volunteering for the new Expert by Experience Panel.

The Council currently provides support through the Family Justice Service which handles 1,500 referrals a year.

It also trains more than 200 practitioners at partner organisations, in how to identify domestic abuse and sexual violence.
