A number of new council homes will be built on car parks in Mitcham after Merton Council gave them the green light.

93 properties have been approved for Elm Nursery and Raleigh Gardens Car Parks.

Land around Canons House heritage site has also been approved for redevelopment.

The developments are being supported by a multimillion-pound investment from the Mayor of London.
