A number of events are taking place in Kingston town centre this afternoon to mark the UK’s first ever Kimchi Day.

The day of celebration traditionally falls on November the 22nd in Korea but will now also be celebrated here.

Kimchi is a traditional Korean dish consisting of salted and fermented vegetables.

There will be a fermentation lecture, Korean food tasting and demonstrations in Kingston Marketplace between 11 and 3.
