A new social media challenge is appearing to urge children to run into the road in front of cars and scream at the drivers.

Incidents have been recorded over recent days in Wimbledon town centre and Malden Road in Worcester Park.

In one video, two cars can be seen swerving to avoid the youngers as they suddenly dash into the middle of the road.

The government is moving towards imposing social media restrictions or a potential ban for under-16s, with a decision expected by summer.
