Based at 363 North End Road in the council’s former Housing Office, it will be open seven days a week, between 7am and 9pm.
The post office will also contain a convenience store open until 11pm.
And in a further improvement for North End Road, Lidl has said it will be opening a new store where the Co-op used to be later this year.
