A new piece of equipment is allowing disabled people across Kensington and Chelsea to experience cycling.

It’s after the council secured a £4,000 grant towards the purchase of a Velo Plus wheelchair bike.

It works by stationing the wheelchair on a platform attached to the front of a bike which is then pedalled by another rider.

The Velo Plus is available for use at Bikeworks’ All Ability Cycling Club at Little Wormwood Scrubs.
