A new campaign aimed at reducing violence has launched across Croydon’s NHS services.

The Kindness Matters initiative highlights the importance of ensuring a safe and caring environment for both patients and staff.

The latest NHS Staff Survey has revealed that over 30% of the Trust’s 4,800 staff have experienced some form of abuse in the last year.

Security teams have also attended over 3,500 incidents at Croydon University Hospital during the same period.

This equates to at least ten incidents every day.
