Detectives believe the victim had been shot on the Westbury Estate on St Rule Street, near Wandsworth Road station.
The victim, who was in his 20s, had been dropped off at the hospital in a car. Despite best medical efforts, he died at 3 o’clock this morning.
Detectives are now appealing for witnesses. If you have any information, please contact the Metropolitan Police.
