A much-loved family fishmonger in Twickenham has announced it is not reopening following the sudden death of its owner.

Sandy’s in King Street was opened by Ray Sandys in 1978.

His son, Stuart, took over the family business, but passed away last November.

In a statement, the family says; “Over the last weeks we have been working on finding solutions to save the company.

“Unfortunately, we have reached the inevitable conclusion that, without Stuart, the business cannot and should not continue.”
