Louis De Zoysa – who’s 26 and from Banstead in Surrey – opened fire in a holding cell in Croydon in south London in 2020.
He used a concealed antique revolver.
Mr Justice Johnson at Northampton Crown Court explained his justification for a rare “whole life order”.
