Police were called to the junction of Bath Road and Great Southwest Road at 1,47am on Tuesdayfollowing reports of a stabbing.

Officers attended the scene with the London Ambulance Service to find Haruun, who was local to the area, with serious injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Haruun’s next-of-kin continue to receive support from specialist officers.

Officers continue with urgent lines of enquiry, but at this stage no arrests have been made.

Detective Chief Inspector Paul Waller, who is leading the investigation said: “Our thoughts remain with Haruun’s family during this tremendously difficult time.

“We know there were a number of people on the bus at this time, and we urge those people, or anyone with information, to contact police as a matter of urgency.

“My team continues to make enquiries and our investigation remains ongoing. We are committed to identifying and apprehending those responsible for Haruun’s death.”
