A man has been convicted of spreading terrorist material after his mobile phone was seized at Heathrow.

21-year-old Ali Yumakci was arrested at the airport in 2023.

Analysis of his phone revealed he’d sent a number of pro-Daesh videos and material to a WhatsApp Group.

They were later assessed as a breach of the Terrorism Act 2006.

He will be sentenced in November.
