Jasbir Rai was accused of fraudulently claiming Housing Benefit and Council Tax reduction over four years which totalled over £24,000.
He failed to disclose that was receiving an income from work and was still claiming Jobseekers and Employment Support Allowance.
He was also required to undertake 200 hours unpaid work and ordered to pay compensation of £22,000 and the Council’s costs of £6,067.
