22-year-old Emad Al-Haj Shareef was found guilty of attempted murder after firing from a motorbike before fleeing the scene.
The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the neck in August last year and was rushed to hospital.
Police linked Shareef to the attack through CCTV, witness evidence and social media footage before his arrest two days later.
