A man from Hammersmith once suspected of being a member of the so-called “Beatles Islamic State cell” has pleaded guilty to terrorism offences.

39-year-old Aine Davis was arrested at Luton Airport after being deported from Turkey, where he’d been sentenced to seven-and-a-half years for membership of IS.

Davis previously denied the charges but changed his pleas at a hearing at the Old Bailey today after a failed bid to get the case thrown out.
