A man from Epsom will run the London Marathon on Sunday in memory of his sister who died from epilepsy complications.

45-year-old Barry Ahearn has so far raised £23,000 for Epilepsy Action in honour of Abbie.

The 29-year-old was in cardiac arrest for 27 minutes during a seizure before passing away in September 2023.

Barry ran 27 half-marathons last year and says this weekend’s London marathon will be a true labour of love.
