A long-serving former Harrods executive has pulled out of a move to become the boss of department store chain Fenwick.

Nigel Blow had been due to start his new job this month, and there’s been no reason given for his stepping down.

Fenwick own the Kingston based Bentalls Department Store, having purchased the chain for just under £71 million in 2001.

Blow worked at Harrods between 1992 and 2007, when the luxury London store was owned by Mohamed Al Fayed.
