Classique Care Services was found to be unsafe, poorly led, and understaffed in its latest Care Quality Commission report.
Inspectors said that visits by care staff were often late, missed or cut short, leaving people without vital medication and support.
CQC is now monitoring the service closely and is urging bosses to take immediate action to improve care.
A spokesperson for Classique says, “Despite the overall inadequate rating we got a positive and a few requires improvements in there. There was a positive in the CQC draft report from the inspector that mentioned there was evidence of improvements in care planning detail which we have tailored to match the needs of the clients. We have also improved on a few areas since the report and the few are:-
• A lot of work has been completed by all the care team members within the service to ensure improvements are being completed and embedded in practice.
• We have received positive feedback from clients regarding the care received by the care staff members and this has been feedback from service users via telephone conversations that have been completed by the service.
• The service has an ongoing action plan that is reviewed daily, and improvements are ongoing currently.
• The focus for our service is to ensure that service user’s safety is of paramount importance and that care team members are appropriately trained and have the knowledge to deliver a high standard of care.
We are improving in line with the standards of CQC and hoping to be back to our best which is keeping our clients safe.”
