A group of rugby players have completed a 24-hour cycling challenge to raise awareness of finding a cure for motor neurone disease.

Gloucester legend, Billy Twelvetrees, is among the team that set out from Kingsholm Stadium yesterday morning.

They passed the home of English Rugby, Twickenham Stadium, at midnight and made it back to Gloucester just after 8.30am.

The 4Ed Cycle team, established in recognition of former rugby union player Ed Slater’s MND diagnosis, has smashed it’s £74,000 target.
