A group of more than 200 healthcare professionals from across the UK have written to the prime minister over air pollution.

Today is Clean Air Day, and the letter says that scientists “have given us disturbing evidence”.

Among the signatories are a health care assistant from Sutton, an occupational therapist from Tooting, and a GP from Kingston.

A government spokeswoman says they recognise there is “more to do” but they have a plan in place to “drive down emissions”.
