Alfletico Madrid was launched in 2021 by the family of Alfie Lawton after the 15-year-old died in Green Lane Recreation Ground.
A coroner at the time returned a verdict of accidental death resulting from complications of acute alcohol intoxication.
The club says issues on and off the pitch have caused problems and the reserves will now become the main team and represent Alfie.
