A demonstration has been held outside Wimbledon station by campaigners asking for an upgrade to signalling on the District Line.

Fix The District Line members are critical of Transport for London’s decision in 2020 not to re-signal stops past East Putney.

They say the move leaves the remaining stops working on outdated equipment.

TFL says the cost and challenge of upgrading the equipment is too high and would require signalling changes up to Waterloo.
