The application was put to Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, last month but it’s been deferred until after May the 2nd.
The original application by the All England Lawn Tennis Club had already been given approval by Merton Council.
However, Wandsworth Council, which owns part of the land, rejected the plans which include an 8,000 seater stadium and tennis courts.
