Network Rail and Alexpo want to build of the site of the former Jolly Boatman pub and adjoining land.
The development proposed is demolition and redevelopment to provide 97 homes, a hotel and retail units.
The site is currently derelict and has been for many years and the proposed development has had planning permission since 2022.
That’s despite Elmbridge Borough Council refusing the application.
However, the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport wants to look at any new information that has emerged since then.
The consultation is running until June the 5th.
