A colourful post-box topper has appeared on Teddington High Street in support of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.

It was created by local resident Helen Whalley, who has made Christmas themed toppers in the past.

The topper features a seal swimming up to the lifeboat, which is likely a reference to the cases of many seals found in Teddington Lock.

The topper also has a QR code, which when scanned takes you directly to a donation page for the RNLI.
