A “change of culture” is needed at Feltham Young Offenders Institution because of the levels of violence there.

HM Inspectorate of Prisons says Feltham B has “failed to make significant progress” since previous inspections in 2019 and last year.

It was also noted that prisoners were not routinely provided with cleaning materials for their cells or themselves.

The Prison Service said it was already taking action to address the concerns raised in the report published last month.
