Andrea Bernard died of her injuries in hospital, after being transferred to a specialist burns unit from Croydon Hospital.
The offences were reported in September 2022 and an investigation was launched.
Detectives from the Met Police’s Cold Case Team say Janice Nix also faces charges of cruelty towards another child.
The pair were known to each other.
