Michael Chennell was found guilty of false imprisonment, coercive and controlling behaviour, actual bodily harm and criminal damage.
Officers were called to an address last November after residents heard someone shouting for help.
The victim was found in a state of distress after Chennell held her captive and made her feel in fear of her life.
