A £2,000 grant for drivers affected by the expansion of the ultra low emission zone in London has been extended.

It was previously only available for those on low incomes or getting child benefit, but can now be claimed by anyone scrapping a non-compliant car.

ULEZ, which has been expanded by Labour’s Mayor of London Sadiq Khan, was largely blamed for the party’s defeat in the Uxbridge by-election.

Health Minister Maria Caulfield says it’s not enough.
