Peter Campbell was recognised by the charity, Jack Petchey Foundation, and handed a £300 award.
He was rewarded for his “empathetic nature” and work helping to care for his older brother, who has Down’s syndrome.
Peter is setting off to Malawi as part of a school initiative with charity Mission Direct to build a centre for children with disabilities.
