Byfleet Cat Rescue is warning independent charities could close next year without urgent action to tackle feline “overpopulation.”

The charity has housed more than 300 cats since October 2024, including four kittens found abandoned in a bag, two of whom died.

The charity is backing a national petition calling for mandatory neutering and tougher action on irresponsible breeding.
