Repairs are progressing on Walton Road after a huge pipe crack led to 15,000 properties losing their water supply last Monday morning.
Thames Water says its engineers are carefully uncovering the pipe in preparation for the replacement work.
They say the site remains a complex repair because of the location of the damaged pipe and the infrastructure around it.
