The brigade was called to The Ridings shortly before 2pm, where part of the ground and first floors, as well as the roof, were destroyed.
The fire is believed to have been accidental and caused by cooking left unattended.
Firefighters say the home’s smoke alarms didn’t work, and are reminding people to check theirs regularly.
