Councillor Rajawat also echoed police appeals for information, particularly from anyone who may be able to help investigators understand how and why Joanne came to be in the Feltham area.
Councillor Shantanu Rajawat said:
“We are aware of the update issued by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary regarding the investigation into the death of Joanne Sheen, following the identification of human remains found in Feltham. Our thoughts are with Joanne’s family and friends at this difficult time.
“The police are continuing to appeal for information from anyone who may have information about Joanne’s disappearance in December 2019, or how she came to be in Feltham. If you saw anything suspicious, or if you have information about Joanne’s disappearance, please get in touch with Crimestoppers anonymously at 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org.
“I want to thank local residents for their patience and cooperation with the police while the investigation at the crime scene has been ongoing. As this remains an active investigation, it would be inappropriate to comment further.”
