From this autumn, pharmacists will be able to treat things including acne, migraines, scabies and ear infections without patients needing to see a GP first.
More than 175,000 Pharmacy First consultations took place across Surrey and Sussex in the year to June.
The NHS says the expansion will make it quicker to get care while helping to ease pressure on GP services.
