It’s after more than 500 people signed a petition calling for one.
Kingston Council is proposing closing off a number of roads around Coombe Girl’s Secondary at drop off and pick up times.
Routes affected include Darley Drive, Buxton Drive, Matlock Way and Branksome Way.
Residents say they hadn’t been given the option of a consultation and were worried the scheme would be implemented without question.
Although residents’ cars are exempt, they say it will impact their visitors, carers and businesses as well as a nearby GP surgery.
They also say it’s proximity to another school street in Lime Grove is too close.
