Officers were called to Church Lane just before 3:30 following a report of a collision involving a white Fiat Punto.
Five people in the car, all aged 18, suffered injuries.
The male driver was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs, along with other offences.
