The Hammersmith Ram in King Street served its last pint on the 26th of July, after being run by Young’s since 1966.
It’s the second pub on King Street to close in the past year, after the Plough & Harrow shut last summer.
The freehold has been bought by Hammersmith Realty Ltd, an arm of the Ealing-based real estate group Arora Family, which described the acquisition as “a strategic investment”.
It has now reopened as a homeware shop, selling furniture, lamps and decorative accessories.
In a statement, the firm said the purchase “represents confidence in the future of Hammersmith”. Arora now owns 87 shops, supermarkets and offices, including a mini market in North End Road, Fulham.
The Arora Family is not related to the Arora Group which owns the 10-storey Metro building at Hammersmith Broadway and Hammersmith’s 630-room Novotel.
