An injured cat found in Chertsey is believed to have been reunited with its family after a police officer took it to an emergency vet.

The grey Persian was found near Bridge Road and taken for urgent treatment.

A member of the public thanked officers for their help, confirming the cat is alive.

Police praised the officer’s quick action after they were flagged down by a passer-by.
