A much-loved pub in Southfields could close in a matter of weeks if urgent action isn’t taken.

Amir Matinahmadi has leased The Park Tavern for 18 months and in that time has poured £150,000 into upgrading its facilities.

But he claims freeholder, Star Pubs, part of Heineken, are making it impossible to operate and have even “blocked beer orders.”

Amir tells us he won’t be “pushed out” easily.

We’ve contacted Heineken for comment.

A public meeting will take place at The Park Taven in Merton Road this afternoon at 5 o’clock.
